Electrical engineering is the area of engineering that focuses on the use and study of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It started as a part of physics and has greatly changed our world.
The electrical engineering program begins with important courses in math, physics, and computer science to prepare students.

To apply, students must be high school graduates or have an equivalent qualification. A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, which is equivalent to a "C+" grade, is required. Students should complete a total of 15 units of college preparatory study with grades of C- or better. This includes: 2 years of social science (including 1 year of U.S. history), 4 years of English, 3 years of math (algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra; four years recommended), 2 years of laboratory science (1 biological and 1 physical), 2 years of the same foreign language (this can be waived for those with equivalent skills), 1 year of visual and performing arts (like art, dance, drama, or music), and 1 year of electives from approved subjects.
