Step 1: Prepare Documents for Application

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

Applicants need to submit two letters of recommendation. It is best to have one letter from a math or science teacher if you are applying for an engineering or science degree. These letters should explain why the student will do well at the university and give reasons to admit them.

Essays

If you have completed any essays, be sure to include them as part of your application.

Step 2: Additional Documents Required

Official Transcripts

You must provide official transcripts. If necessary, these should include an English translation. Make sure to send mid-year and final grades as they become available. If you have national exam scores, please submit those as well.

Certificate of Finance

A Certificate of Finance is needed to show how you will pay for your expenses while studying at Clarkson for one to four years.

Personal Statement

Write a personal statement describing a special interest, experience, or achievement that is important to you.

English Language Proficiency Score

The payment can be made using a credit card. Students can choose to enroll in Clarkson University’s monthly payment plan. You can decide how much to finance, with the maximum being total charges minus expected financial aid, and the minimum amount being $1,000 per term. The Payment Plan requires a $30 nonrefundable application fee.
