Computational chemistry and biochemistry use computer methods to understand chemical and biological properties and processes.
Students will learn about chemical and molecular modeling, simulations, computational chemical biology, drug design, and how to use big data in chemistry and biochemistry. They will also learn computational methods for data analysis.
Students have the chance to do undergraduate research at the Pauling Computer Lab. This lab is focused on computational biochemistry, computer-aided drug design, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling and simulations.
