Master of Science in Biology at Merrimack College

Merrimack College offers a 12-month Master of Science in Biology program. The tuition fee for this course is USD 38,208. The M.S. in Biology program includes a core curriculum of 16 credits and 16 elective credits. These can be used towards a concentration in either Biotechnology & Biomedical Science or Environmental Biology.

Students will gain a deeper understanding of cell biology and biotechnology or environmental biology, depending on their concentration. They will also become skilled in using the tools and techniques relevant to their field.

12th Grade

Students need to have a BA or BS degree in Biology or Biochemistry with a minimum GPA of 3.0. They must also have an interview with the faculty before being accepted. Students with other degrees can apply if they have completed 1 year of introductory biology and four upper-level biology courses, along with one year of college-level math, including precalculus. Specific courses are required based on the concentration: Genetics and two semesters of chemistry for Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences, and Ecology for Environmental Biology.

Marks: 84.0

Students need a minimum of 21 on the writing section.

IELTS

Marks: 6.5

Students must score no less than 6.0 in any band.
