To be considered for admission, freshmen must have a strong secondary school record. Applicants need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. They should also complete a College Preparatory Curriculum, which includes: four years of English focusing on communication skills and literature; three years of Mathematics, including algebra I, geometry, and algebra II; three years of Social Studies, including global studies, American history, and government; two years of Laboratory Science (one year in earth science, biology, chemistry, or physics); and two years of elective courses such as foreign language or computer science. Certain students, like those out of high school for more than three years, may be exempt from these requirements.
