To apply, students must have completed high school with good grades. They need to have: 4 years of Language Arts, 3 years of Mathematics (including 1 year of algebra and 1 year covering geometry), 2 years of Writing (1 year must be English and the other year can be from any subject), 2 years of Social Science (including 1 year of U.S. history or a mix of U.S. history and American government, plus 1 semester of civics), 2 years of Science, and 1 year of Electives (which can be art, music, foreign language, or vocational education).
