The Biological Associate of Science degree aims to spark a passion for learning about biological sciences in our students. It encourages them to think critically about how life works in nature and helps them become informed citizens who can make smart choices about biological issues.
Students will learn to use the scientific method to design, conduct, summarize, and evaluate tests on biological ideas, using modern lab equipment.
Students will also be able to explain the biological processes that happen within or between living things, such as protein synthesis, cell communication, genetic transmission, digestion, reproduction, and the flow of nutrients in an ecosystem.
