This program covers a wide range of topics in microbiology, including environmental and disease-causing microbes. It uses many different methods, from studying ecosystems and organisms to looking at genes and biochemistry.

The Department of Microbiology offers two Master of Science (MS) degree options: a Non-thesis MS degree and a Research-based MS degree.
