Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Submit a Statement of Purpose with a maximum of 4,000 characters. This essay is important for art programs. You will be graded on content, style, grammar, and structure.

Letter of Recommendation (LOR)

Submit a letter of recommendation from an academic teacher or school counselor.

Submit a personal statement as part of the SUNY Supplemental Application or the Common Application. You can use the SUNY International Applicant Essay form and choose any topic for your autobiographical essay.
