To meet the requirements for admission, students must have completed high school with a cumulative weighted GPA of 2.50 or higher. The specific prerequisites include: 4 units of English, 1 unit of Visual and/or Performing Arts, 2 units of Algebra I and II, 1 unit of Geometry or another advanced math course, 1 additional unit of math, 3 units of Natural/Physical Sciences (including at least one lab unit in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), 1 unit of Social Studies, 1 unit of United States History, and 2 units of a single Foreign Language.

Application Process for Tennessee State University

Step One: Additional Documents Required

• Official transcripts and authorized school records that list all courses and grades received.
• Official TOEFL or IELTS scores.
• Notarized Affidavit of Support and financial statement.
• All documents must be no older than six (6) months before the semester you want to enroll.
• Proof of required immunizations.
• A copy of your passport.
• ACT/SAT test scores if you are under 21 years old.

Step Three: Application Fees

• The application fee is USD 25 (approximately INR 2.11 Thousand).
• Students can pay their fees through the Installment Payment Plan.
• The down payment must be made at the time of enrollment, which includes a $50 Administrative Fee and any previous term balances.
• After the down payment, the remaining balance can be paid in three monthly installments each term.
• Note that the payment plan option is not available for summer term balances.
