To apply, students must have completed high school with a cumulative weighted GPA of 2.50 or higher. The following subjects are required: English (4 Units), Visual and/or Performing Arts (1 Unit), Algebra I and II (2 Units), Geometry or an advanced math course (1 Unit), an additional math unit (1 Unit), Natural/Physical Sciences (3 Units), Social Studies (1 Unit), United States History (1 Unit), and a single Foreign Language (2 Units).

Application Process for Tennessee State University

Step One: Additional Documents Required

• Official transcripts and school records that list all courses and grades.
• Official TOEFL or IELTS scores to prove English language proficiency.
• A notarized Affidavit of Support and a financial statement.
• All documents must be less than six (6) months old before the semester you want to enroll in.
• Proof of required immunizations is necessary.
• A copy of your passport.
• If you are under 21, you must submit ACT or SAT test scores.

Step Three: Application Fees

• The application fee is USD 25, which is approximately INR 2.11 Thousand.
• Students can pay their fees using the Installment Payment Plan.
• A down payment is required, along with a $50 Administrative Fee, and any previous balances must be paid in full at enrollment.
• After the down payment, the remaining balance can be paid in three monthly installments each term.
• Please note that a payment plan is not available for summer term balances.

Step Four: Application Deadlines

• Fall Semester (August): Deadline is June 1st.
• Spring Semester (January): Deadline is November 1st.
