Application Process for Texas Christian University

Step 1: Prepare Documents for Application

To apply, you need to gather the following documents:

• Letter of Recommendation (LOR)
• Teacher Evaluation/Recommendation
• Counselor Evaluation/Recommendation Form (or secondary school report)
• Essays

You must submit one essay that is 300-500 words long. Choose one of these topics to write about:

• If you were to write a mission statement about your life, what would it be? How does this mission guide your life and goals?
• Tell us about the most important person or experience that has shaped your life. How has it influenced your character? How will you use what you learned to reach your goals?
• Great people often point to failures as key moments in their success. Share a time when a failure pushed you towards success.
• In her book The Secret Life of Bees, TCU alumna Sue Monk Kidd said, “The hardest thing on earth is choosing what matters.” What matters to you?

Step 2: Additional Documents Required

Along with your application, you need to provide:

• Official High School Transcript
• College Transcripts from any institutions you have attended
• SAT/ACT Scores (optional)
