Graduates of the MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences will have strong skills in designing and using research methods to meet the needs of the changing biomedical and pharmaceutical industries and academic labs.

The curriculum teaches all steps of drug and biologic development. This includes the early stages of drug discovery and development, such as designing new drugs and understanding their properties. Students will also learn about screening and formulating drugs, supporting clinical trials with analysis, and studying how drugs affect health through pharmacogenomics, metabolite analysis, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.

This program is part of Jefferson College of Pharmacy (JCP) and works together with Jefferson College of Life Sciences.

The focus of the program is on discovering and formulating natural, synthetic, and biological drugs. It also covers cell signaling, which is important for understanding and developing drugs to prevent and manage diseases.
