They should have at least four units of English, three units of mathematics (which includes Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry; Trigonometry is also recommended), three units of science, and four units of history or social studies. Students must also take enough elective courses to reach a total of twenty Carnegie high school units. These electives can include foreign language, computer programming, religion, philosophy, and higher-level science or math courses. If students lack any required courses, they can still be admitted but must fix these gaps during their first year. Any courses taken to address these gaps will not count towards degree requirements.
