The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science focuses on solving problems through creating algorithms and building software. It prepares students to use modern computer systems in different ways.

This BS program requires at least 54 credit hours in computer science, 24 credit hours in math and natural sciences, plus courses from the university's general education program.

The curriculum includes essential computer science courses such as data structures, networking, algorithms, database systems, programming languages, computer architecture, object-oriented software development, operating systems, information security, ethics, and software engineering.

Students can also choose elective courses like artificial intelligence, Linux/UNIX systems, parallel computing, multimedia computing, mobile programming, web technologies, data mining, data clustering, and other current topics in computer science, cybersecurity, and data science.

12th Grade

Students need a minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale to be accepted at the University of Central Arkansas. They should convert their percentage to GPA to check their eligibility.

TOEFL

Marks: 61.0

Students must score at least 61 out of 120 on the TOEFL test.

IELTS
