MS in Nutrition at UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS

The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) offers a Master of Science (MS) in Nutrition program that lasts for 18 months. The total tuition fee for this course is USD 13,772. To be admitted to the MS in Nutrition program, students need to show their English language skills. UCA accepts IELTS and TOEFL scores for this purpose. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for admission.

The Master of Science in Nutrition at the University of Central Arkansas offers two main tracks:

• General Nutrition
• Dietetics and Nutrition Therapy

Students can choose between Thesis and Non-Thesis options. To complete the program, students need to finish either 33 or 36 credit hours, depending on their choice.

The General Nutrition track is designed for students who already have the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential or for those who do not plan to pursue this credential. On the other hand, the Dietetics and Nutrition Therapy track is a selective admission program. This track includes required supervised hands-on learning and is meant for students who want to obtain a verification statement, making them eligible to take the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist exam.

Graduation

For General Nutrition tracks, applicants need a bachelor's degree from an accredited school in nutrition or a related field, or they must have completed the courses for an undergraduate dietetics program. They must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.70 on a 4.00 scale or at least a 3.00 GPA in the last 60 hours of their undergraduate study. For Dietetics and Nutrition Therapy Track, applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.00. Students with a degree in nutrition/dietetics and a verification statement can apply, as well as those with degrees in other subjects if they have completed the required prerequisite courses.

GRE

Marks: 275.0

For the General Nutrition Track, applicants must submit GRE scores or proof of being a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or proof of acceptance into an accredited supervised practice program. For the Dietetics and Nutrition Therapy Track, a minimum score of 275 on the GRE composite and a score of 3 or above on the writing section is required.

Applicants must score at least 79 on the TOEFL iBT test.

Applicants need a minimum score of 6.5 in IELTS.
