Application Process for University of Detroit Mercy

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Statement of Purpose (SOP): Submit a statement of purpose for the Master of Science in Intelligence Analysis.
• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): For undergraduate programs, a letter of recommendation is required. For the Master of Science in Product Development, provide a letter from your supervisor that shows your readiness for the program and support from your organization. For the Master of Science in Intelligence Analysis, submit three letters of recommendation.
• Essays: Write a short essay (350 to 500 words) explaining how this program will help you in your current job and prepare you for future responsibilities. This will be considered by the selection committee for the Master of Science in Product Development.
• CV/Resume: Submit a resume for the Master of Science in Intelligence Analysis.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• High School Transcript: Provide your academic transcripts.
• Official Transcripts: Submit official transcripts for all previous academic work, especially for the Master of Science in Computer & Information Systems (STEM).
• International Transcripts: Must be evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). A course-by-course evaluation is necessary.
• ACT or SAT Scores: Include these if they were taken.
• Proof of English Proficiency: Provide your English proficiency scores.
• CV or Resume: This is optional.
• Financial Statement: An official bank statement showing enough funds to cover the first year of study, including tuition and living expenses, or a Statement of Financial Support Form.
• Copy of Passport: Submit a copy of your passport.

• Payment Method: Payments can be made using a credit card.
• Installment Payment: Students can pay fees in installments through Cashnet Payment by enrolling in the Interest-Free Monthly Payment Plan.
• Payment Schedule: Annually: 10 interest-free monthly payments from August 1 to May 1. Semester: Five interest-free monthly payments from August 1 to December 1 or January 1 to May 1.
