Application Process for University of Detroit Mercy

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Statement of Purpose (SOP): Submit a statement of purpose for the Master of Science in Intelligence Analysis.
• Letter of Recommendation (LOR): One letter is required for undergraduate programs. For the Master of Science in Product Development, provide a letter from your supervisor confirming your readiness for the program and support from your organization. For the Master of Science in Intelligence Analysis, submit three letters of recommendation.
• Essays: For the Master of Science in Product Development, write a short essay (350 to 500 words) explaining how this program will help you in your current job and prepare you for future roles. The selection committee will consider this in their decision.
• CV: Submit a resume for the Master of Science in Intelligence Analysis.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• High School Transcript: Provide your high school transcript.
• Academic Transcripts: Official transcripts for all previous academic work are required for the Master of Science in Computer & Information Systems (STEM). If you have international transcripts, they must be evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). A course-by-course evaluation is needed.
• ACT or SAT Scores: If applicable, submit your ACT or SAT scores.
• Proof of English Proficiency: Provide your English proficiency test scores.
• CV or Resume: This is optional.
• Bank Statement: Submit an official bank statement showing enough money to cover the first year of study, including tuition and living expenses, or a Statement of Financial Support Form.
• Copy of Passport: Provide a copy of your passport.
• Writing Sample: For undergraduate courses, submit a writing sample of at least 250 words on a topic of your choice.
