Graduation
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a college or university that is accredited by a regional accrediting association. If the degree is from an institution that is recognized but not regionally accredited, the application will be reviewed by the department and the College of Graduate Studies. Applicants need a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, which is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree. They must have completed: three semesters of calculus, six hours of statistics (including Statistical Analysis or an equivalent), one computer programming course or shown the ability to write programs, and Analytic Geometry and Calculus II. Indian students should have a four-year bachelor's degree or a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) after a three-year bachelor's degree. If applicants do not meet the minimum 3.00 GPA, they can still be considered for admission if they have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher for their last 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits, have worked in the specific profession for over 5 years, obtained a letter of support from a faculty member, and written a detailed statement or essay about their professional experience and potential to succeed academically.
