Students studying for a Master’s of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering have two choices: a thesis option and a non-thesis option. For the thesis option, students must complete a thesis that they will need to defend in front of their master’s thesis committee.
The program provides several concentrations for students to pick from, including: Signal Processing & Machine Learning, Microelectronics/Microsystems (MEMS) & Photonics, Optics & Communications, and VLSI Systems/Hardware Security & Digital Design.
For the thesis option, students must earn at least 30 credit hours, which includes 6 credit hours for MS thesis research (ENEE 799). For the non-thesis option, which includes a project, students need to complete 33 credit hours, with 3 credit hours dedicated to graduate project research (ENEE 698).
