The University of Missouri-St. Louis offers three options to earn a Master of Science degree:
1. The first option is a 30 credit hour non-thesis program. This is ideal for students who already have a lot of research experience, educators wanting to improve their skills without needing research, or anyone looking to expand their knowledge in biology.
2. The second option is a 32 credit hour Professional Science track. This program includes a strong business focus for students who want to learn more about the business side of companies.
3. The third option is a 30 credit hour traditional research apprenticeship that leads to a written thesis. All students who are accepted into the graduate program start in the non-thesis option unless they are accepted into a specific faculty lab.
