The combined Master of Science (M.S.) in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship (DI) at UNM aims to prepare students for careers in Nutrition and Dietetics. This includes chances to work in research, clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and public health.

Students will get the chance to collaborate with various faculty members from the College of Education and Human Sciences in Nutrition & Dietetics, Exercise Science, and Health Education. They will also work with faculty from the College of Population Health in Public Health and health care professionals at UNM, the Prevention Research Center, and other UNM Health Sciences locations.

12th Grade

Graduation

Students must have a bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field like exercise science or public health. If the degree is not in nutrition or dietetics, students may need to complete a post-baccalaureate degree in Nutrition. Applicants need to have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2.

If you are revising a letter of intent/personal statement you wrote and submitted for application to another graduate program or dietetic internship, be sure and make adjustments that are specific to the UNM MS in Nutrition Program.
