12th Grade

Students must complete 12th grade with grades that equal a "B" average, which is a 3.0 GPA on the U.S. unweighted 4.0 scale. The following subjects are required: 4 units of English (grammar, composition, and literature only), 3 units of college prep math (4 recommended, including algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, math analysis, calculus, or AP Statistics), 3 units of laboratory science (4 recommended, excluding general science), 3 units of history and citizenship (including one unit of American history and two additional units from history, economics, geography, government, or non-western culture), and 2 additional units from the above subjects or computer science or foreign language. Two years of the same foreign language will meet the foreign language requirement. Coursework in music, art, drama, or speech is also suggested.
