Students must have completed 12th grade with a grade equivalent to a 'B' average, which is a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in the U.S. The required subjects include: - 4 units of English (grammar, composition, literature) - 3 units of college prep math (recommended 4 units) including algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, math analysis, calculus, or AP Statistics - 3 units of laboratory science (recommended 4 units), not including general science; one year of principles of technology can replace one lab science course if a traditional lab science course is also taken - 3 units of history and citizenship, including 1 unit of American history and 2 units from history, economics, geography, government, or non-western culture - 2 additional units from the above subjects, computer science, or foreign language. Two years of the same foreign language fulfill the foreign language requirement. Coursework in music, art, drama, or speech is also recommended.
