The requirements include: - 4 units of English: These should come from grammar, composition, and literature only. - 3 units of College Prep Math (4 recommended): These can be from algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, math analysis, calculus, or Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics. - 3 units of Laboratory Science (4 recommended): General science is not included. One year of technology principles can replace one lab science course if the student also takes a traditional lab science course. - 3 units of History and Citizenship: This must include one unit of American history and two additional units from history, economics, geography, government, or non-western culture. - 2 additional units: These can come from any of the above subjects, computer science, or a foreign language. Two years of the same foreign language fulfill the foreign language requirement. Coursework in music, art, drama, or speech is also recommended.
