The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies teaches students the skills needed to provide medical care to patients.

In the second year of the Physician Assistant Studies program, students earn 45 credit hours through 10 supervised clinical rotations. These rotations give students hands-on experience in various fields, including family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, psychiatry, pediatrics, and women’s health.

12th Grade

Graduation

Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree before starting the program or meet the Pre-Physician Assistant Program requirements. They need an average of 3.0 out of 4.0 in required courses, with at least a grade of C in all prerequisite courses. For the Main Campus, a 3.0 average in science courses is required, calculated by the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA). A master's degree requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 from an accredited institution.
