Biology is the study of living things and life. It covers their origins, structures, functions, growth, evolution, distribution, and classification.

Students can choose from many specialty areas to major in within biology.

This program is flexible, allowing students to tailor their education in biology. They can select elective courses and do research on various topics such as botany, entomology, biotechnology, synthetic biology, neurobiology, physiology, toxicology, microbiology, virology, herpetology, mammalogy, ornithology, behavioral biology, and more.

Having a biology degree sets a solid foundation for further studies or jobs in research, industry, or government. Biology majors can also add a minor, like business or chemistry, to improve their job prospects.

12th Grade

To apply, students must have a high school certificate. A GPA between 2.8 and 4.0 allows admission in good standing. Recommended high school courses include: 4 years of English, 4 years of Math (including one class beyond Math 3), 3.5 years of Social Science, 3 years of Lab-Based Science (one each in biology, chemistry, and physics), and 2 years of a world language (same language, taken progressively from grades 9 to 12).

Marks: 71.0

A minimum score of 71 out of 120 is required.

IELTS

Marks: 6.0
