If you are planning to register for the ACT in 2026, this guide covers the complete ACT Application Process from creating your account to paying your fees. The ACT Online Registration process is entirely web-based for Indian students and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Keep the following ready before starting your ACT Application Form 2026:
Step 1: Create your MyACT account
Go to my.act.org and create a free MyACT account. You will need your email address and basic personal details. Make sure every detail, especially your name, should match your passport exactly. Any mismatch can result in being denied entry at the test centre with no refund.

Step 2: Verify your email
After submitting your details, you will receive a confirmation email. Verify your account before proceeding.

Step 3: Sign in and start registration
Log in to your MyACT account and navigate to the registration section. Select the option to register for the ACT test as a non-US (international) student.

Step 4: Choose your test option
Select the test combination you want to sit for. Your options are:

Science and Writing can also be added or removed through the late registration deadline via your MyACT account.
Step 5: Select your test date and test centre
Choose from the available international ACT test dates. For each testing window, morning and afternoon sessions are offered and availability varies by test centre. Select the test centre closest to your location.
Step 6: Upload your photo
Upload a recent photo that meets ACT's photo requirements. This photo is verified when you arrive at the test centre. Your photo must be uploaded by the photo upload deadline for your chosen test date missing this deadline can affect your ability to test.
Step 7: Enter background information
Provide your academic and background details as prompted. You can also enter up to four college codes at this stage, score reports to these colleges are included in your registration fee at no extra charge.

Step 8: Review, accept policies, and pay
Review all entered details carefully. Read and accept ACT's testing policies. Complete payment to confirm your ACT Online Registration. You will receive a registration confirmation with your test details, venue, and session timing.

Always register by the standard deadline to avoid the late fee and to have maximum flexibility to make changes.
Once registered, you can make changes to your ACT Application through your MyACT account up to the late registration deadline. Changes you can make include:
A change fee of $49.00 applies for test date or test centre changes.
Cancellations and refunds: If you decide not to test, your basic registration fee and any service fees are non-refundable. Fees for optional services may be refundable. There is no partial refund policy for international students who simply choose not to appear.
Missed test day: If you miss your test for any reason including illness, late arrival, or insufficient ID, fees are non-refundable. You must register again and pay the full fee to retest.
When choosing a test centre for your ACT Registration 2026, consider the following:
