What is the eligibility criteria for the Golden Key Scholar Award?
To be eligible for the Golden Key Scholar Award, you need to fulfill the following criteria:
At the time of the application deadline (on or before December 15, 2024), you must be a full-time or part-time student in a post-baccalaureate programme of study at an accredited institution. OR,
A full-time or part-time student in their senior or final year of their undergraduate programme. OR,
Someone who will be enrolled in a post-baccalaureate Masters or PhD degree seeking programme immediately following the award's granting.
A Golden Key member is required.

What is the application process for the Golden Key Scholar Award?
The Golden Key Scholar Award follows an application process which states certain steps that need to be followed while applying for the scholar award.
- First, you need to sign up at https://funding.xhuma.io/auth/login with your information.
- You will receive an OTP to enter in order to create your account. If you log out and then return, just click Sign In and follow the prompts.
- Once you have signed in, click on Bursary Actions, followed by Input Code.
- Use the code GKPOSTGRAD when applying for the GK Graduate Funding Award.
- Please complete your profile information completely to tell more about yourself!
- Within 24 hours, you will be contacted to upload additional documents (personal statement, letter of recommendation, resume, and transcripts).
What are the documents required for the Golden Key Scholar Award?
The documents required for the Golden Key Scholar Award are:
A personal statement of no more than 5 pages stating which programme you intend to pursue or are currently pursuing, what university you have applied to or are attending, the status of your application, when you intend to begin your programme, and the anticipated date of completion. If you are already enrolled, please indicate this in your statement, and you will only need to list the programme in which you are enrolled. Your personal statement should also explain why you want to pursue post-baccalaureate or professional studies.
Answer the following question in 500 words or less: How do you intend to apply your post-baccalaureate degree to make a difference in the world through academics, leadership, and service?
Within the online application, fill out the Programme Questionnaire.
One recommendation letter from any of the following:
- A current member of the university faculty or staff who is familiar with your academic career.
- A current or previous employer.
- An official from a university or organisation who is familiar with your involvement in university or community service.
Résumé/CV
A current and thorough academic transcript. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
If you are a current undergraduate student, you must upload a copy of your acceptance letter from the institution where you will be studying post-baccalaureate.
All winners and losers will be notified via email within 120 days of the application deadline, which will be no later than 15 April 2024.
