Padua International Excellence Scholarship

The University of Padua provides 59 scholarships for exceptionally talented prospective students aiming to enrol in Bachelor’s or Master’s programs conducted entirely in English in Padua. This scholarship program is highly competitive, and only applicants with the most outstanding academic achievements and records will be considered. Recipients of these scholarships are expected to take on an ambassadorial role and represent the University at various events.

Benefits of the Padua International Excellence Scholarship?

The Padua International Excellence Scholarship includes a fee waiver and a gross scholarship amount of €8,000 per academic year. Recipient students are responsible for covering only the admission fee annually, which includes the regional tax and marca da bollo (revenue stamp).

Eligibility Criteria for the Padua International Excellence Scholarship?

To be eligible for the University of Padua International Excellence Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• 
  Possess a non-Italian upper secondary school diploma for Bachelor's or Single-cycle degree programs, or a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree for Master’s degree programs, both of which must be recognized by the Italian university system.
• 
  Not hold Italian citizenship, except in cases of dual citizenship that includes Italian.
• 
  Not currently reside in Italy, defined as:

  • 
    Non-EU citizens with a valid residence permit that allows university enrollment without needing a new student visa.
  • 
    EU citizens and those with equivalent status who have lived in Italy continuously for more than nine months. This also includes citizens from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the Republic of San Marino, and Switzerland, who are treated as EU citizens.
• 
  Submit an application for one or more English-taught degree programs at the University of Padua by following the prescribed procedures and deadlines. Applicants may apply for up to three degree programs.
• 
  Applicants who do not fulfill these criteria are ineligible for the scholarship. Eligible students are automatically considered for the scholarship upon applying to the designated degree programs without the need for a separate scholarship application or additional documents.

Application Process for the Padua International Excellence Scholarship?

To be considered for the University of Padua's International Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:

• Not hold Italian citizenship, with the exception of those possessing dual citizenship that includes Italian.

Selection Process for the Padua International Excellence Scholarship?

The Academic Committee for each degree program at the University of Padua assesses eligible scholarship applicants. They award scholarships to the most outstanding candidates, focusing on academic excellence, the quality of previous studies, and achievement records.
