Sia Youth Scholarship

The SIA Youth Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship programme offered by the Ministry of Education, Singapore. The programme aims to provide scholarships to students from India, China, and ASEAN countries, offering an opportunity to pursue a two-year Pre-University education at selected junior colleges in Singapore. The scholarship covers tuition fees, examination fees, living expenses, medical benefits, and accident insurance protection. 

Benefits

There is no set number of scholarships awarded each year, it is determined by the competition. The selected students will receive funding in the following areas:

• Tuition costs
• Examinee fees
• Expenses for living are incurred.
• Medical advantages
• Accident Insurance Protection
• The Singapore- Cambridge General Certificate of Advanced Level (GCE "A" Level) will be awarded to the winners.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who wish to receive the SIA Youth Scholarship must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:

• Citizenship: The applicant must be an Indian, Chinese, or ASEAN citizen.
• Age: Students must be between the ages of 17 and 19.
• Academic Qualification: Must have completed Matriculation a year before the application year.
• A strong academic record is required. They must have obtained at least 85% or a minimum of Grade A in English as their first language.

Application Process

The SIA youth scholarship application process is entirely online, and any other form is disqualified. Applications can be submitted through the official scholarship website.

Before submitting the documents, candidates must log in with their email address and fill out the application form with the correct information. The following documents are required during the online application process.

• Identity Proof - Passport, Birth Certificate, etc.
• Class IX and X transcripts

If the original documents are not in English, a certified translation of the documents must be provided.

Documents Required

The documents needed for the Sia Youth Scholarship are:

• Applicants must have the least studied class's study certificates and mark lists.
• A copy of the passport-size photograph is required.
• Applicants must have a passport.
• A birth certificate is required.

Selection Process

The SIA Youth Scholarship is given to students after a three-stage selection process:

• 
  Following the submission of the form, each scholarship application is subjected to initial screening for Academic record. At this point, the majority of the students are eliminated.
• 
  Selected candidates take the Selection Test. Students are tested on Maths, General
• 
  Ability/Mental Ability, and some English Language Questions in this section.
• 
  The admit card will be sent out two to three weeks before the exam.
• 
  The Maths section is difficult because questions of Standard 11 level are asked.
• 
  This scholarship test will be held in Delhi in the month of September.
• 
  Students who pass the test are invited to an interview. Notifications are sent out one week before the interviews. The interviews will take place in October.
• 
  Only selected candidates will be contacted further. If you do not receive any notification regarding the Test or Interview, you have most likely failed the first screening.

The MOE Customer Service Centre (CSC) is only open by appointment. It is only for services that cannot be completed online or over the phone.
