The University of Toronto Scholars Programme was created to recognise and reward its incoming undergraduate students. Every year, 700 domestic and international students who gain admission to UToronto are awarded CAD 7500.

The University of Toronto Scholars Program awards INR 4,60,716 to all its scholarship holders as a financial aid which covers tuition fees.

The University of Toronto Scholars Programmes are selected in the same manner as any other merit-based admission scholarship at the university. Applicants are shortlisted and chosen based on their academic performance.
The university chooses candidates based on interim grades, which are usually conditional on achieving an acceptable final standing.
Recipients should keep in mind that payment of the award amount is contingent on full-time enrollment in September.
