The University of Toronto Scholars Programme was created to recognise and reward its incoming undergraduate students. Every year, 700 domestic and international students who gain admission to UToronto are awarded CAD 7500.

The University of Toronto Scholars Program awards INR 4,60,716 to all its scholarship holders as a financial aid which covers tuition fees.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for the award:
Outstanding and consistent academic performance in secondary school.
Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate programme
Applying for the first year of undergraduate studies through direct entry.
There is no specific application process for the University of Scholars Program. Applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their academic performance at the time of admission.
This automatic consideration process for entrance-based scholarships is shared by all awards at the University of Toronto.
The documents required at the time of application for admission in University of Toronto Scholars Program are:
Submit complete documentation (transcripts) for all attempted secondary and postsecondary studies.
Applicants may be required to complete the online self-reported grades' form as well.
Evidence of English proficiency
Standardised test results or additional information (if applicable)
Any documents issued in a language other than English or French must also be notarized.

The University of Toronto Scholars Programmes are selected in the same manner as any other merit-based admission scholarship at the university. Applicants are shortlisted and chosen based on their academic performance.
The university chooses candidates based on interim grades, which are usually conditional on achieving an acceptable final standing.
Recipients should keep in mind that payment of the award amount is contingent on full-time enrollment in September.
