De Montfort University International Students Criteria

Applicants must meet the English language requirements (e.g., for undergraduate entry: IELTS 6.0 for Business/Computing; IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Art/Design/Engineering; IELTS 6.5 for Humanities/Media/Law/Science).

For postgraduate research students: IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or equivalent, with no component below 6.0, and tests taken within the last two years.

To receive a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for visa purposes, international applicants must pay at least 50% of their first year’s tuition fee upon accepting an unconditional offer.

International applicants must meet financial requirements for visa purposes if applying from outside the UK or having been in the UK on student permission for less than 12 months.

Global Access Scholarship:

Scholarship provides either one full tuition award or eight partial awards of £8,000 each to international students.
