Overview

California Miramar University (CMU) is a private college located in San Diego County, California. Established in 2005, CMU acquired the assets of Pacific Western University in the same year. In 2007, the university sought accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). CMU is recognized under section 94890 of the 2009 California Private Postsecondary Education Act.

The main campus of California Miramar University is situated along Camino Del Rio North in San Diego. Additionally, there is a smaller satellite campus in Montebello.
