Cambridge College was founded in 1971 by a group of educators who wanted to help working adults achieve their educational goals. Initially known as The Institute of Open Education at Newton College of the Sacred Heart, it became part of the Antioch University Network. In 1981, it became an independent, private, non-profit college and adopted the name Cambridge College. The college is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. Cambridge College offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.
