The Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) is a top private college for art and design located in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 1882 as the Western Reserve School of Design for Women, it became known as the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1949. The faculty includes nearly 50 full-time and 60 part-time professionals who are experienced artists and designers, maintaining a student-to-faculty ratio of 10:1.
