Bachelors in Animation at CLEVELAND INSTITUTE OF ART

The Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) offers a Bachelor’s degree in Animation that lasts for four years. The total tuition fee for this program is USD 47,880. To gain admission to the Bachelor’s in Animation at CIA, students need to demonstrate their English language skills. The accepted tests for this purpose are the IELTS and TOEFL.

In the animation program, students will use new production technologies for 2D and 3D digital media, as well as animation, film, video production, and stop-motion animation.

Students will improve their skills in character design and learn how to create personality in motion. They will also study lighting for small digital environments, sound related to motion and syncing, and explore various types of tactile sculpture media.

The program's curriculum focuses on storytelling in sequences, different animation methods, developing concepts, framing and staging scenes, storyboarding, creating animatics, using layers, and studying motion and figures.
