Manhattan College was established in 1853 by five Christian brothers from the De La Salle order. Originally named the Academy of the Holy Infancy, it became Manhattan College after receiving a State Charter in 1863. In 1922, the college moved to its current location in The Bronx, New York. The campus is compact and consists of two parts: the North Campus and the South Campus. Key buildings on the North Campus include De La Salle Hall, which houses the Business School, and Miguel Hall, which is home to the Arts Department. The South Campus features the Leo Engineering Building and the Research and Learning Center.
