Overview

St. Lawrence University was established in 1856 by leaders of the Universalist Church. It began as a school for theological studies and has since evolved into a private liberal arts college. The university's motto, "Fides et Veritas," translates to "Faith and Truth." The athletic teams are known as the Saints, and their colors are Scarlet and Brown.
