Young Women in Public Affairs Award

Young Women in Public Affairs Award

On this Page:

Because Zonta International believes that young women are the key to women's advancement in public service, it offers the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award, which recognizes young women, aged 16 to 19, for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life.

To increase the representation of women in critical decision-making positions around the world, we must encourage young women to pursue employment or seek leadership roles in public policy-making, government, and voluntary organizations, as well as further their education with these goals in mind.
