If you aspire to complete your Ph.D. in Agriculture Emission Science, the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Emissions has launched a new NZ-GRADS program. It covers tuition fees (10,000 NZD per year), annual stipend (28,000 NZD per year), medical insurance (up to 700 NZD per year), and visa application cost (1550 NZD) for 36 months. The program also provides return tickets to New Zealand up to a maximum of 9300 NZD.

Palmerston North City Mayor's Goodwill Ambassador Scholarship

It is sponsored by the City Council of Palmerston North. The scholarship provides 1,000 NZD towards the first year’s tuition of career-based/vocational, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses.

The University of Canterbury’s College of Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship aids students to go for a bachelor's engineering degree at the University of Canterbury. Financial assistance with tuition fees to a value of 23,337 NZD is provided to students.

For postgraduate students, a grant of 5,000 NZD is available for the first year of study.

Tongarewa Scholarship

This is a scholarship provided by the Victoria University of Wellington for master’s research, master's by coursework, all postgraduate courses, and First-year students. There are 10 scholarships of 10,000 NZD available for postgraduate and undergraduate recipients, and 9 scholarships of 5,000 NZD are available for undergraduate recipients only.

Victoria University of Wellington Study abroad Scholarship

The funding option is available for all postgraduate and returning students. Scholarships for the students are valued at 5,000 NZD to 10,000 NZD, which students can put towards accommodation costs or first-year living expenses.


UNIVERSITY OF WAIKATO


Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship

Fifteen scholarships based on academic merit worth 10,000 NZD are available for all undergraduate programs. Students have to maintain the required level of performance.

University of Waikato International Excellence Scholarship

International undergraduate and postgraduate students starting in-person classes from 2022 or 2023 are eligible for a scholarship worth up to 20,000 NZD towards tuition fees. All new international students commencing online classes in 2022 will be automatically awarded a 20% discount on their tuition fees and will get also receive a travel grant to travel to New Zealand. There is no separate application form required.

The University of Waikato GEMS Scholarship

Up to 10 scholarships worth 10,000 NZD are available for international students starting undergraduate studies for the first time at the university.

The New Zealand NCUK University of Waikato Bursary

Students who started their in-person classes and are progressing to degree-level studies at the university are automatically considered for the bursary worth 10,000 NZD.


UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO


University of Otago International Research Masters Scholarships

Eight scholarships worth 16,000 NZD (stipend per annum) are awarded to international students pursuing thesis-based masters degrees at the university. The students are also eligible for a tuition fee waiver for 1 year capped at the domestic rate for masters study. Academic performance is one of the criteria for the scholarship.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students

Scholarships worth 10,000 NZD for international postgraduate students starting in-person or online classes from 2022 or 2023 are available. The amount can be used towards tuition fees.


UNIVERSITY OF CANTERBURY


Eamon Molloy Memorial Scholarship

A scholarship worth 15,000 NZD for one-year is available for full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of study.

Park and Paulay Undergraduate Scholarship

A scholarship-funding worth 2,500 NZD is available for undergraduate students pursuing structural, geotechnical, or Earthquake engineering at the university.
