What you pay at Curtin depends on the exact course rather than a flat rate, each program is priced on its own unit mix, and the figure in your Letter of Offer is the one that counts. Curtin also flags that international fees can rise by up to 8% each year, so plan for later years to cost a little more. The 2026 figures below are approximate annual estimates for tuition only, with INR at around ₹55 per AUD 1.

For a student visa (Subclass 500), the Australian Government requires proof of access to at least AUD 29,710 per year for living costs, separate from tuition. A full year's living in Perth typically runs around AUD 22,000 – 28,000 beyond tuition.
| Cost | Detail |
|---|---|
|
Application fee |
None as Curtin does not charge international students an application fee (agents may add their own charges). |
|
Tuition deposit |
Your full first-semester tuition is required as the deposit, which secures your offer and Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). |
|
OSHC |
Overseas Student Health Cover is mandatory for the full visa period, paid before the visa is granted (around AUD 600 – 800/year for single cover). |
|
Student visa (Subclass 500) |
Application charge around AUD 2,000 (from July 2025), plus proof of funds (AUD 29,710/year living costs) and the Genuine Student statement. |
|
SSAF & incidental fees |
An annual Student Services and Amenities Fee, plus course-specific extras such as lab gear, clinical checks or field equipment. |
|
Books & supplies |
Roughly AUD 500 – 1,000 per year, varying by program. |
Curtin bills by semester, and the amount is calculated on the units you actually enrol in at the census date rather than a fixed annual sum. To accept your offer, you pay your first semester's tuition upfront as the deposit, which triggers your CoE; OSHC must also be paid before the visa is granted. Subsequent semesters are due by each census date, and because fees can rise up to 8% a year, your later-year invoices may be slightly higher than your first.
Curtin assesses most international applicants for a scholarship automatically and confirms any award in the offer letter, so high achievers often pay well below the headline fee across their degree.
| Scholarship | Reduction | You Pay (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
|
Curtin Excellence Scholarship |
Up to 40% off tuition |
Headline fee reduced by up to 40% |
|
Curtin Global Future Leaders Scholarship |
Partial tuition reduction (varies by course) |
Headline fee reduced by the awarded amount |
|
Curtin Global Talent Scholarship |
From around AUD 7,500 up to a full tuition waiver |
Headline fee reduced significantly, up to fully funded |
|
Curtin Research Scholarships (HDR) |
Tuition support + living stipend |
Fully or largely funded for eligible research students |
Awards are merit-based and applied to the headline fee; eligibility and amounts are confirmed in your offer letter.
