RMIT University Intakes and Deadlines

RMIT University International Students Criteria

  Undergraduate academic requirement: A recognised Year 12-equivalent qualification; Indian CBSE/ISC applicants typically need around 65–75%, while state board applicants generally need 70–80%, with variation by course (some go up to 95% for highly competitive programs).

  Postgraduate requirement: A recognised bachelor's degree with around 60–70% aggregate (GPA 2.0/4.0 minimum for some programs, e.g. Master of Science courses); some programs require relevant work experience or a specific undergraduate discipline.

  English proficiency: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall is the typical minimum (no band below 6.0) for most undergraduate and postgraduate programs, though specific courses range from 6.5 to 8.0; TOEFL iBT 79 and PTE Academic 58 are commonly accepted equivalents. Tests must be from an official test centre — online or at-home results are not accepted — and completed within 2 years of your course start date.
