RMIT University Fees for International Students

What you pay depends heavily on which RMIT college your course sits in - design, health and engineering programs typically run higher than business or social science. RMIT can lift fees by up to 7.5% each calendar year, so a continuing student's later-year invoice will usually be a little steeper than their first. The 2026 figures below are approximate annual estimates for tuition only. INR values are approximate (around ₹55 per AUD 1).

Payment Structure

RMIT enrols students under a calendar-year fee structure: your tuition rate is set when you start and may rise by up to 7.5% annually for continuing students. Your deposit amount is determined individually at the time of your offer by RMIT's Global Student Recruitment team, paid before enrolment, and credited in full against your first invoice. If you withdraw after the census date for a teaching period, you remain financially liable for that period's fees even if you stop attending, so noting census dates each semester matters. SSAF and any program-specific materials fees are billed separately from tuition.
