Not possess dual or British citizenship.
Consent to follow all applicable rules, specifications, and program expectations.
Not work for, or have previously worked for, His Majesty's Government; or have been employed by the British Council, a sponsoring UK university, the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, all British Embassies/High Commissions, the Home Office, the Ministry of Defence, the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy, the Department for International Trade, or the UKVI within the last two years of the Chevening application opening.

Applicants will be selected in accordance with how well they perform in the interview and how well they meet the eligibility requirements. The Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) of the University of Oxford will choose a total of 12 fellows for the rigorous 12-week residential course. The course culminates in research and the presentation of a public policy strategy, and it includes numerous site visits throughout the UK and Europe.
