TOEFL test center rules and regulations

ETS maintains a certain set of rules and regulations for candidates taking the test, and a test taker must know about them in detail. TOEFL exam centers in India have the following rules and regulations:

• Make sure that you reach the test center well in advance, and as per the official ETS website, one should be there at least 30 minutes before the test timings.
• Food and drinks are strictly not allowed inside the TOEFL test centers in India.
• A student doesn’t have to bring anything except valid ID proof. However, it is advised to bring two IDs in case one is not accepted.
• Personal belongings like phones, watches, or any other electronic device.
• Check the microphone before the start of the test.
• Raise your hand in case of any issue whatsoever.
• In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is advised to wear a mask or a face cover to avoid the spread of infection.

Things to bring at TOEFL test centers

Certain things are strictly prohibited at TOEFL test centers, and candidates should bear this in mind before taking the test. The only thing which a candidate needs to bring is two valid IDs. The test administrator will check the IDs at the time of entry. Other things like pen, pencil and scratch paper will be provided at the test center itself. Test takers aren’t allowed to bring any eatables or drinks. They can bring water in a transparent bottle, and nothing else is allowed inside the TOEFL center.
